OLD FARMHOUSE AND ADDITIONAL PROVENCAL VILLA WITH POOL AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF SEILLANS

Two beautifully decorated villas situated within walking distance of the centre of the medieval village of Seillans
7 bedrooms, sleeps 14-18

The property consists of two houses set in about 11 acres of its own land. The main house dates from 1804, having been a farmhouse (with a hay-loft). It is reached at the end of its own drive, 500 metres from the road. The second house is a modern one-storey villa with its own gate and drive. It is about 100 metres from the main house from which it can also be accessed via a sloping pathway.

The grounds originally included a jasmine garden (for the local parfumerie ) and a working mill - now in ruin - powered by the lively perennial stream which still flows just as vigorously through the property. (It is augmented by springs on the edge of the property above the house.) The whole property is in a valley, which slopes towards the adjoining medieval village of Seillans . Both houses afford excellent views of this exquisite village.

The centre of the village of Seillans is within short walk giving you easy access to the local bars and restaurants and there are many other enchanting villages and restaurants within a short driving distance yet with Cannes (35 minutes) and Nice (55 minutes) being not too far you can easily explore the glamorous Cote d'Azur.

Provencal Mas

The main house comprises of 4 bedrooms, a large dining-drawing room, kitchen, three full bathrooms and a shower-room. The house is fully equipped with kitchen range, washing-machine, dish-washer and TV. The bedroom on the top floor - the old hay-loft - is very large and contains two double and one single bed. On the middle floor, there are two other double bedrooms (with en-suite bathroom) and a smaller bedroom with double-bed. The house is fully furnished, including bed-linen, towels, crockery , table-ware and kitchen utensils.

About 30 metres from the house, there is a 12 metre oval pool with large stone surround, and a Raj tent. The rest of the property features two large patios (in front of and beside the house), walled terraces, oleander, roses, groves of fruit trees (olives, cherries, figs, apples, pears, plums, hazel-nuts, walnuts ), a very large paddock and two waterfalls. The property offers total seclusion, but in minutes you can walk to the village along one of the paths through the grounds.

Villa Magali

The villa reflects the character of the region, with large shuttered windows and local furnishings. It comprises a large (60 m2) south-facing drawing room with a huge French window. There is a separate eating area, which adjoins the kitchen. There are three double bed-rooms with direct access to two full bathrooms. The villa is fully furnished, including bed-linen, towels, crockery , table-ware and kitchen utensils. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, dish-washer and large refrigerator. There is a washing-machine in one of the bathrooms and a satellite TV in the drawing room. (For winter guests, there is a full fireplace, and under-floor heating throughout the villa).

The villa is set on an acre of lush terrain up the hill from the farmhouse. From the villa and its extensive patio, there is a commanding view of the village and the sweep of hills around it. The front of the villa faces South and enjoys sunshine from morning until evening. Surrounding the villa is an olive grove, and below it a series of grassy terraces fronted with stone walls characteristic of the region. There is easy access to the villa from the Route de Mons , and a large drive leading up to the patio.
