Bargemon |
Bargemon is a medieval
fortified village and has retained many of the old buildings that give it an
ancient ambience. The streets are narrow and pleasantly shaded and there are
many flowers and street fountains.
At the heart of the village is a
large 12th century church that is built into the old defensive
fortifications. For a beautiful, typically Provencal view of rooftops and ochre
houses with the village of Claviers in the distance, take the road marked to
Comps and look back towards the village as you climb out of town.
